After a steamy September and warm October, temperatures have finally dropped here in Austin, and I am living for cozy sweaters, blazing fires, and fall-inspired cocktails. I love fall cocktail recipes that include flavors like apple, fig, chocolate, and cranberry.
To ring in the new season, I’ve rounded up six fall cocktail recipes from some of my favorite people, places, and publications. Take a look, and then let me know in the comments what fall cocktail recipes you’re making right now. I’m always looking to mix up new concoctions for relaxing nights in.
Fig Manhattan
One of my favorite bars in Austin is Idle Hands, a cool spot on Rainey Street that serves food and drinks inspired by Latin America and the Caribbean. The owners offered to share their recipe for a Fig Manhattan, a tasty blend of rye whiskey with a fig twist. Delicious!
Ingredients
2 ounces High West Double Rye
1/2 ounce carpano antica
1/4 ounce fig syrup
2 dashes angostura
Instructions
Combine ingredients in mixing glass with ice and stir.
Strain into coupe glass, garnish with a dehydrated fig slice, and enjoy!

Spiked Mulled Apple Cider
A few years ago, I shared one of my favorite fall cocktail recipes for spiked mulled apple cider, and it is still one of my top warm cocktails. Let’s be real: The classics are classic for a reason.
Apple Cider Mimosa
Delish’s super simple recipe for apple cider mimosas looks like the perfect addition to your next brunch get together.
Apple Brandy Harvest Punch
Local Austin blogger and hostess with the mostess Camille Styles has a festive apple brandy harvest punch that I need to make immediately.
Irish Hot Chocolate
Food52 has this Irish hot chocolate labeled as a Christmas drink, but I think it sounds perfect for a fall night while watching movies and toasting s’mores.
Spiced Cranberry Rosé Spritzers
Tieghan Gerard of Half Baked Harvest is always an endless resource for creative (and delicious) food and drinks. Her spiced cranberry rosé spritzers are a crowd pleaser.
